USA has effectively developed and applied the expertise of Supply and Value Chain Management (SCM/VCM) to many of our internal logistical functions including procurement, material planning, warehousing (packaging handling storage & transportation), and depot (manufacturing/repair) operations. USA has, and continues to play a key role in NASA's Manned Space Flight Program as an experienced trainer for NASA, astronauts, sub-contractors and many other space-related requirements. USA's expertise and training curriculums for SCM and VCM could be provided to external organizations requiring similar logistical and functional support, with USA providing the training.

USA has enhanced numerous Logistics' critical core competencies with tools such as the Supply Chain Council's Supply-Chain Operations Reference Model (SCOR) and, the techniques of Lean Manufacturing principles (VCM). USA utilizes the SCOR model because it is an industry recognized and structured SCM tool integrating the five key processes: Plan, Source, Make, Deliver and Return. This model spans your customer's customer to your supplier's supplier. This tool helps create a balanced and hierarchical set of performance (supply chain) metrics, which then drive continuous improvements. The model is industry-maintained and provides not only metrics, but also a complete library of best practices. Training on the use of the model with the techniques of Lean optimizes your ability to conduct effective value stream mapping that result in the removal of non-value added process steps. USA has conducted internal and external SCM training based on these techniques for both our Customer as well as a major OEM.

USA offers their expertise packaged as On-the-Job-Training (OJT) instruction, computer based training, video, and traditional stand up instructors. This includes preparation and publication of detailed work instructions augmenting the formal and informal training processes. The complete Logistics/Depot Supply Chain is designed to work together as an integrated program. Any portion or segment of this program can be developed into a training package customized to support your needs.
