USA's approach to provide support deployment services starts with a thorough study and review of requirements. This is followed closely by identifying resource capabilities, understanding material management challenges, and then optimizing the process to meet this objective. We provide a wide array of modular deployment capabilities that can be tailored to support our customer's needs. Additionally, "what if" drills, sequential models, command post crisis drills, and simulations are routinely utilized to understand and improve our capabilities. This iterative process is reworked against multiple scenarios, with different conditions, locations, or resource conditions applied. USA develops contingency plans for staff review and acceptance by our customers.
A major part of the USA responsibilities is deployment logistics services. Normal contingency planning includes the provision of rapid response logistics capabilities that can be deployed to a global network of potential launch abort sites and end of mission landing sites. USA also plans and postures for various space vehicle contingency options such as adverse maintenance support, unplanned mission contingencies, and emergency mission operations.
