Kate B. Kronmiller

Vice President of Government Relations

Kate B. Kronmiller is the vice president of government relations for United Space Alliance in Washington, DC. She is responsible for overseeing all USA activities involving Congress, the Administration, embassies and industry and reports directly to USA’s president and CEO. She was named to this position in September 2001.

Kronmiller was the director of Government Affairs and Business Development for the Rocketdyne Division of The Boeing Company, previously owned by Rockwell International. She joined Rockwell in 1985 as representative for Rocketdyne Propulsion and Power and its diverse, space-related programs, including the Space Shuttle Main Engine, International Space Station, Expendable Launch Vehicle, Peacekeeper and Directed Energy Programs. In total, Kronmiller has more than 26 years of experience in the aerospace community. She began in government service as committee professional staff in Congress, then directed legislative affairs for satellite programs at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Her previous business experience includes serving as vice president of Space Services Inc., the first commercial expendable launch vehicle company located in Houston, Texas.

Kronmiller serves on the board of directors for both the National Space Club and the Space Transportation Association. She is a member of numerous other organizations dedicated to the promotion of the United States Civil and Defense Space Programs. Kronmiller is co-founder of Women In Aerospace, an organization that provides opportunities for career advancement for female aerospace professionals.

Kronmiller attended the University of Pennsylvania and American University and holds a bachelor of science degree in biology, with a minor in ocean engineering. She earned a master’s degree in science, technology and public policy at George Washington University.

A native of Philadelphia, Kronmiller resides in Great Falls, Va., with her husband and four children.
