Michael H. (Mike) Jones

Vice President, Logistics and Material

Michael H. (Mike) Jones serves as Vice President, Logistics and Material, for United Space Alliance, LLC. In this position he leads an organization that provides integrated services, including logistics, depot support, procurement and subcontracts. The Flight Crew Equipment/Extra Vehicular Activity and Integrated Logistics program elements are part of this organization.

Prior to his current position, Jones served as Director of Procurement and Subcontracts, and was responsible for leading subcontracting, purchasing and strategic sourcing initiatives.

Jones started with Rockwell in 1982 at Space Systems Division in Downey, Calif. He moved to Houston in 1985. Since that time he has held various management positions including business manager of the Space Flight Operations Contract. Prior to his Rockwell/USA experience, he spent over three years in the material function at Douglas Aircraft Company, Long Beach, Calif.

Jones was the National Contract Management Association Space City Chapter President in 2000-2001, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Houston Minority Business Council and the Florida Minority Supplier Development Council.

Jones has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in business and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Southern California.
